curse is a small frame animated character. she sits in a corner window beside the terminal, and keeps a live log of what the sessions around her are doing.. and she reacts: a hop for a ding, a tilt when something lands, a shake for an alarm, a lean when she wants an answer.
the window is transparent and uses the terminal’s colors & typeface. every effect runs once, in under a second, in pure css, and nothing runs while nothing happens. a bench mode exists, where she enters stasis, shrinking system footprint considerably; when she wakes up the backlog of information returns and is synthesized.
